My name’s Georgina Luhur, but I go by Georgie or Gii. My birthday is on the 29th of May and in 2009, I turned 18. Some people don’t like writing about themselves, but there’s only so many times you have the chance to – so be warned, this is a little long – but there are pictures at the end.

I’m Indonesian-Chinese. I was born and live in Australia with my awesome family – Mum, Dad, and my 14-year-old brother Brandon. I don’t have any pets, though I used to.

One of the most special people to me, after my family, is my twin, Lilian. We aren’t actually twins but we’re really close and alike and have been best friends for many years. We’ve never had a fight.

Another really, really special person to me is my boyfriend James, and he’s the best. He’s the most gentle, sweetest, cutest person ever, and I love him a lot. I hate to measure time because it doesn’t matter how long you’re with someone, your experiences matter. We’ve been together for a long time, and before that long time began, we were great friends.

I graduated from high school in October 2008 and completed my HSC. I am currently attending university and majoring in a communications degree, in the field of information/media. That involves studying things like webdesign and media in the form of radio, television and advertisements, as well as information sources.

I have two jobs. I have been working for over a year in an education centre, part-time, two days a week. I mark children’s work and assist them when they need it. I’ll admit that I get annoyed at children easily.

My other job is with a publishing company and I have been working there since November 2009. The job is only temporary until the current publishing project is completed but I am enjoying the perks of data entry and graphic design in an office environment.

My hobbies include playing piano, guitar and drums. I taught myself the guitar and drums but had a piano teacher for six grades. I’m into a lot of music but this great range is limited to old music, classics, indie music, hard rock and heavy metal.

I love reading, writing stories/poems, drawing, sketching, scribbling, doodling, photography, gelato, sushi, miso soup, seaweed, pasta, clouds, light rain and sunshine. I’m the kind of person who loves mornings, walks in the park, and window shopping on lazy days. I have a passion for dance – especially ballet, which I have done for eight years.

Obviously, I love web design. Over the eight or so years I’ve been designing and coding, I have collected over ten domains/websites. They are all listed at Georgie.nu and include a fanlisting collective, photoblog, 365-day design projects and several portfolios and blogs. I have to admit that I have a domain addiction, but I am trying to keep that off by not having more than 20 at a time. Unfortunately, that’s the number I am on at the moment.

I dislike carbonated drinks, pizza, neoteric music, and stereotypes, as well as rude, ignorant, arrogant and inconsiderate people… mostly in the general public.

I’m scared of everything, including the dark, worms, staples, rejection, porn, dying, burgers and glass. I’m most afraid of being alone.

Appearance wise, I have completely straight teeth, brown-red layered hair with blonde ends, and three piercings in each ear. My hair has gone through multiple stages of being knee-length, bob-style, completely red, with a blonde underlay, red and yellow streaks, with super long and super short fringes. I’m majorly skinny and somewhat short, but despite that, I have a high cholesterol, which I inherited from my grandparents. I have an iron deficiency and am allergic to coconuts.

I’d describe myself as crazy. Completely crazy. If not, then psychotic, and idiosyncratic. I’m pretty eccentric, and I’m really loud. I am shy around people I first meet or feel inferior with, but I am very bubbly around friendly people and those who are my close friends.

Pets I Used To Own

Starlet – a rabbit. She ran away.
Pippa Frances Bean Cobain – a guinea pig. She was named after the daughter of Kurt Cobain (Nirvana frontman).
Max – a dog, black with white patches. He was a cross between Maltese, poodle, Labrador, Lehser Apso.. quite a mix.
Kiah – a dog, snow white. He was the same breed as Max, and named after a friend of mine.
