The Love is… project is something that expanded from many things – the beauty of that which is love, the feelings encompassed by love, describing something as being “love” (for instance, ‘you are Love’), and a myriad of other things.
Closer to Heartdrops’ second birthday in October 2010, I wanted to create a layout that would celebrate its birthday somehow. The Love is… project didn’t begin until after I had created the layout itself, upon which I stumbled upon the fantastic idea. The idea began as a small rotation of icons/avatars, which could have been completely unrelated to love. This idea came up because I lacked inspiration.
Feeling at a loss, I dabbled in typography again, as I quite liked my previous typography layouts. I merged together two of my previous typography layouts; R&R and One Day Son, This Will All Be Yours (featured on past layouts). Colours and font types were put together along with use of CSS3.
A random quote was something I fit into the header image, but I needed more. Desperate for more quotes beginning with “Love is…”, I sought the public’s attention and used Twitter and my blog to collect as many quotes as I could. I wanted everyone to have a hand in it. 
The quotes rotate when the page is refreshed. However, below are a lot of the quotes I’ve managed to collect. I apologise that since there were so many and I received a lot of feedback, I did not include everything, and I didn’t include ones that were unoriginal.
