Site Name

I understand you got it from 'shweeeeet' (or something of the sort), but having it with just one letter 'e' - when I say it it just reminds me of 'sweat'.

No big deal though, I love how it's short and easy to remember.

Layout

I'll start with the good things. It's really quite nice. It's very simple, but the brushes on the header image are a nice touch. The navigation is also quite nice - the hovers look good.

Now there are a lot of errors. Your coding is not validated (see here). There are a lot of errors:

Firstly, you need to refine your coding. It's a really huge mess, particularly because you have not divided it into the appropriate parts. Or, not divided it at all. You need to read this tutorial on basic HTML to at least organise things. It may sound drastic and absolutely insane or even embarrassing, but Mirjam, I'm telling you, I had to go back to basics when my coding was a mess.

Coding is definitely important. Your site may look awesome when you look at it, but when others see it, it may be a disaster and may even take a long time to load.

This tutorial will then help you to center your layout using div containers.

Your CSS has a problem. You do not need the following in style.css

Other than that, there is nothing wrong with your stylesheet. In terms of how it looks.. Your CSS is nice, but why is the link hover pink? It does not match with the layout, so change it to something like blue! And I can hardly even see your links, so make them a distinguishable colour please.

Your headers for the sidebar and content are the same. It's really quite boring. Make one of them different. People are going to see this on every page!

I did say I liked your layout image but I'm not really liking that big space under the navigation. You should have placed the graphic under the navigation, or made the navigation bigger so it filled up that space.

Your footer should not be under your content, especially with that blue background. It should extend under your sidebar and your content.

Heaps and heaps of coding errors. You really need to work on it. Your layout in terms of aesthetics is pretty good, but the bones of your site are just a mess. Fix the coding, please.

Content

I need to address issues with your sidebar.. the button you have for advertising should be centered in the sidebar. The welcome itself is not necessary, and 'clear' should really be part of the navigation, or at least you should link that brush-graphic in your header to the index page.

Featuring - No one isn't needed, just remove it altogether. There's no one on it, obviously, and there's no need to state it. Also, It offers huge amount should be 'it offers a huge amount'.

In your footer, you don't need Copy right (which should actually be 'Copyright') because you already have the © sign. I also don't think the 'Back' and 'Forward' links are necessary, because people have them integrated in their browser.

ABOUT

Shwet should be capitalised under your past layouts link, and before using or take should be 'before using or taking'.

When I click 'About me', I'm taken to a page of links. It's quite annoying, considering I've come from one. On this page:

On your 'About me' page (why on Earth does the link also say 'About me' like on your other page?), my self is one word, myself. I don't really understand what you mean because "stucket" is not a word.

You have a lot of other errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation but now I just realise that a lot of it is mainly because you just don't capitalise I and I'm. I must stress that this is important or it just makes you look like you're using chatspeak which can seem really immature and very unprofessional.

Multiple times you have also neglected to capitalise names of places, people and things - that are proper nouns. Your name has a capital letter, and I'm sure Norway would appreciate being capitalised too. You have neglected to do that many times! Ditto for Egypt and Arab and, just about everything.

I see that understanding a new language like Arabic is hard, and I can see what English may be like for you. Maybe you should mention that your English isn't too great, because then if you get your site reviewed in future, reviewers will know that you're not a pro, so to speak, and you won't get marked down for multiple spelling, grammar and punctuation errors.

I hope you aren't offended, I just think it would help you in some way.

To me a lot of these written pages also seem like they are rushed. For instance, you've typed bu instead of but and I can see why it could be a typing error. I personally think you're just too lazy to check things before uploading them. You should get a spellchecker and that would at least improve a few things like capitalisation. I seriously can't say I have seen more than two capitalised Is (as in 'I ate a burger') in your site.

You need to proofread this page and rewrite it, in my opinion. It's a big mess and it's best if you introduced your family using a list, rather than cramming all this junk in the same paragraph.

The one and only layout you have is okay. I think it's made okay, but the graphic is way too light and I can hardly see the detail on the girl's face, especially around her mouth. The image is really good, but the CSS is a mess and overall it just looks plain.

Personally I think these buttons are useless. If you're offering these you should also offer them in packages with other buttons. Not everyone uses a download button (some just use links), and you should offer them with 'back' and 'forward' buttons.

You should not be redistributing fonts on your website. Even if you credit DaFont (which should be capitalised). A lot of fonts are not allowed to be redistributed. You don't like people redistributing your stuff, do you? I recommend you remove these. This also seems like an old page because you have your old site URL on the previews and on the page.

Your icon bases don't have good previews. You should also show each icon base individually so people don't have to download a whole set when they really just want one. And I recommend you remove your old icon bases. Personally I don't see the point of icon bases, when people can make their own.

Most of these are also celebrity-based, and using celebrity images is illegal, in case you didn't know. You can find an article here.

I'm already really quite annoyed at the lack of actual content you have that is viewable without downloading. Amount at the current stage? Zilch. Nil. Zero. None. I really don't think your site is very user-friendly now. No previews of the actual icons - people have to download them? Waiting for the download too, what a pain. But seeing as I'm reviewing your site, I don't have a choice do I?

Let me just outline how annoying it is.

Sorry Mirjam, but can you see what I mean? It's going to be a huge pain for someone on a dialup connection with a computer that only has twenty megabytes of RAM! Seriously. You honestly - really, really, really, really, really need to be more user friendly. It makes things easier for your visitors.

On your PSP scripts:

These scripts are good. And they would come in handy. But question, how do you use them? Maybe a tutorial would be useful.

These actions don't look too great. The first one looks like you've dipped Eva Longoria into too much purple light. The second one looks bad. Look at it again!:

Your wallpapers - why can't you just link straight to the image instead of putting it straight up for download? These wallpapers are okay. I was expecting you to have a bunch - but you only have two. It's sort of disappointing.

I thought I had finished your resources section - only to realise I'd only gone through the downloads. That's what I mean - don't have so many subpages and sections. It will save time, space, and energy. And now I see why you don't have proper previews, because they're just downloads. Still, people may want to use these, and a lot of them you can just show, instead of sticking them in zip files for download.

On your graphics page, you use asterisks (**) to mark new and updated things. You should be consistent, because on your other pages you simply typed out the words. Choose one and live by it.

On this page, which is apparently your Paramore PNGs, both thumbnails are dead. When I click the thumbnails I can see the PNG.
I don't exactly get what PNGs are. They just look like images of people with the background cut out. I don't know why they're called PNGs, because PNG is the file extension and really doesn't relate to what the graphic is.
Erm, also, why don't the rest of your PNGs open as an actual file, instead of being in a zip file?

The way you've categorised your PNGs is annoying. You have way too many subpages. Way too many. I click on 'Female PNGs' and I come across a HUGE list. This is really unnecessary, considering a lot of these celebrities only have one PNG under them. What an incredible waste of space.
I'm not going to be looking through all these, but all the links work and everything seems to be fine. I don't see the point of these PNGs. They're a waste of your time, really. Don't you notice that? People can simply cut images themselves. And it's like they're crediting you to cut something for them. It's silly.

You have a dead thumbnail on this page.

The message you have on your signs page:

Here you'll find some signs like, welcome, enter etc+ Do what ever you want with them, offer them on your site, steal them, edti them, use them, but just leave a credit they're all made by me.

just seems really careless. You don't care if people steal your stuff? Well, they might as well do that with your other content if you say that! Avoid saying anything like that!

On your enter and welcome signs pages, you have a similar message. Avoid saying anything of the sort. Visitors may think you don't care and will just take this content without credit.
A lot of these signs are just very plain. And rokin' should be rockin'.

On your apparent 'Premades' page, the title says 'Graphics'. You might want to change that.

On your band icons page, Paramore should be capitalised. All these icons look great. It's actually the first thing I am really amazed at on your site. Try moving away from celebrities though, considering celebrity images are illegal.

Um.. great. Look at your tutorial on removing the blue Freewebs bar. This really cannot be classified as a tutorial at all. It's not even necessary. Not at all. The code is ONE line, of only ten characters: <noscript>. Eh - seriously?

I'm not even gonig to bother with renaming pages. It's darn freaking obvious how to rename - when you hover over the icon it says so. This is a totally unnecessary tutorial and it's a waste of your time, really. It's like telling someone how to rename a file on their computer. It's self-damn-explanatory.

It's darn idiotic to name a CSS file with the .htm extension. Who the hell does that? Seriously. It's not even a cascading style sheet if it's got that extension. Stop mentioning it. This isn't a tutorial either. It's quite useless, if you ask me. I'm not even going to bother correcting your mistakes.

All these Freewebs tutorials are useless and utterly self explanatory. Freewebs is more user friendly than your site!

Your Haloscan tutorials are useless, I know that already. I figured out these Haloscan things just by going to my settings. You should just remove these things - seriously. And darn these tutorials are old. Shwet-design? I take it that's your old site. Damn these tutorials are ancient. I suggest you remove them. Everyone can find these out themselves.

Iframe: use of iframes should not be promoted. It does NOT look professional. It's hell for people who want to bookmark a single page, and it gives Google bots hell. Even bots have feelings too.

Last update: another useless tutorial. All these tutorials are just copy and paste codes. I used to have these on my site but removed them because a lot of the scripts weren't mine. I suggest you remove these "tutorials" and write something useful that people can actually learn from - like the HTML tutorials on my site.

These tutorials are really not useful. The Freewebs, Haloscan and Cutenews ones are useless. People generally find these things out by reading the instructions on the website.

I'm not going to review this section for obvious reasons!

Originality

I liked your layout. But your whole site was ridded with celebrity graphics. It's not really that original and plus, it's illegal.

Organisation/Errors

You had a lot of errors. Your coding, your spelling and grammar. It was really hard to even stand. You had way too many subpages, for sections that only had one image or graphic.

Also, your site gradually took a longer time to load. This is most likely because of your coding. You need to fix it up. It's very important.

Overall comment

Your site has a lot of resources, Mirjam. However a lot of these were really generic and I didn't see anything original. Time and time again I have seen the same celebrity "PNGs" or "PSDs" and the same celebrity icons.

I was really disappointed with the way you had organised your site. Many sections just weren't user friendly, and you had a lot of old content. You need to revamp your site. Your tutorials are old and outdated and even have your old site URL on them. It's quality, not quantity. You have so much stuff on your site - but a lot of it is useless.

Your PSP and PS tutorials for the most part are okay. But you should not be writing tutorials on coding when yours is a mess. It really reflects badly.

I understand that your English isn't great. But a lot of errors in your site just looked very lazy. Like simple capitalisation of names, or even when using the pronoun "I". I seriously felt like I was proofreading and editing a Bryce Courtenay novel that was written while he was half asleep. Your English may not be great, but a lot of your site just showed laziness.

You really need to read over what you write before displaying it on your website. Simple things like rules - people don't want them crammed in one paragraph and not even in a list!

I think your site needs some work. You need to move away from the generic celebrity content that is also illegal, and work on something original. You need to fix up your coding as well - in your layout, and also the text on your pages that seems to fluctuate. And cut down on the subpages. It will save time, energy and space.

I'm sorry to say that I didn't enjoy reviewing your site and correcting the mistakes. I had to correct them, seeing as they were errors in themselves.

I really hope you fix up those errors and appreciate this review anyway.

Don't think that this is a bad review! You just need to revamp, and these come from time to time. Your graphics are creative and of really good quality, especially your icons. You have great skill, but you need to be able to make graphics other than those of celebrities.

In summary, here are some suggestions:

I know you have potential, Mirjam! Your site has been around for a while and it's best to remove the old stuff. Also, don't seem careless in your rules, and don't write tutorials if you're not sure, or tutorials that are really quite useless. You need to sound professional in your tutorials. Don't write with "whatever" and language like "bullshit". It can really turn viewers off.

I also recommend you get Firefox. It'll help fix all your crazy punctuation errors. Use the damn apostrophe - that's the little dash in "that's", "let's", and "it's". If you already have Firefox then I'm just going to say.. it's appaling. You may have bad English but a lot of your site just reflects laziness.
