Site Name

HTML Dynamics is an okay site name, not very appealing. I don’t like the hyphen; it’s too long as you’re on a subdomain.

Coding and Validation

When I run your site through the W3C Markup Validation service you have more than 100 errors which is completely ridiculous, though not surprising seeing as you are on Piczo.

It’s going to be impossible for you to fix these errors and to be honest I don’t think you care, or could be bothered to fix them.

I will say that some of these errors are caused by not using the alt tag in images and using trailing backslashes where they are not necessary, as your site is in HTML and not XHTML, so why would you use the trailing backslashes? The other errors are caused by all your links, which really cannot be fixed because it’s Piczo, and Piczo idiotically makes their links with stupid characters.

Your CSS has 71 errors, most of which are parsing errors due to.. being on Piczo.

Your coding is unsurprisingly atrocious and I have no suggestions to improve this except to move to somewhere like Freewebs, which doesn’t have such blatant advertisements.

I have nothing more to say; you most likely would not understand any corrections I try to make to your coding if it is that bad in the first place.

Browser Compatibility & Usability

According to Browsershots.org your site looks different and all over the place in different browsers. It looks okay in Firefox and Internet Explorer, but in others it looks different.

The navigation is clear, good job.

The text is of an okay size and colour.

Layout

Looks okay, but:

• Celebrity graphics are illegal. Read this article.
• It’s not centered. Which you can’t even do in Piczo so forget it.
• The image is horribly pixelated.
• You’re using some form of iframe, which is going to give search engines hell to find individual pages.
• Your animated titled bar is very annoying and very distracting. What is the point of it? I want to know what’s in your title bar, not have some idiotic script spell it out for me.
• Don’t think I can’t tell that you used exactly the same background as on my site, but resized. For your information, that background was originally from SkylineIllusions.net and should be properly credited like I did on my site. No, you did not credit Skyline Illusions, nor did you credit my website, even if I had made the background myself. What you did was very unoriginal and in essence, stealing.

Your blog is an iframe in an iframe, of sorts. What on earth? If you’re using the horror that is iframes, at least use them properly. Your main iframe has a horizontal scrollbar which looks ugly, and the vertical scrollbar travels into your header image, which is just not very appealing at all.

You have multiple boxes in your sidebar. It’s like your welcome message and everything under it is a box titled ‘Advertisement’. It doesn’t look organised at all.

Your Google advertisements are of a horrid colour and don’t match your layout at all.

The dashed border around your layout isn’t really a border at all. It appears on the left and right sides and not on the top or bottom. It’s too harsh as well.

Your CSS doesn’t even go with the layout. Blue CSS with not even a hint of brown, yet brown is the main colour used in the header image? And a grey background? I don’t think so. I really don’t.

Content

Your sidebar. ’1 online’ is not an advertisement. And the CSS for these headers in your sidebar are all different.
The welcome message is pointless. Visitors should be welcomed with your layout and you don’t need some welcome message clogging up your sidebar uselessly. In fact, I wouldn’t care to read it if I weren’t reviewing.
Why does your text under layout lead to amazingcounter.com? And you should link to the sites you are crediting. That is how you credit them properly.

I don’t even see the point of your affiliates when you don’t have any. And why would you link them with tiny squares that are all practically the same? Affiliates deserve more than to be recognised with some sort of universal icon.

The Site

I will tell you that I’m quite pleased to say that you’re probably the second Piczo site I have ever seen that doesn’t change their layout on every page. It’s completely ridiculous, if you ask me.

On this ‘Site’ page, your text is horrible! It doesn’t match the blue or even match with your blog on the main page. Maroon and lime green on a grey background isn’t appealing, especially when I have to highlight the text to be able to read it. You don’t really need to mention your site name, it’s obvious. And you don’t really need a site description either.

You don’t need to capitalise your likes and dislikes. They’re not proper nouns. The Silver Sword should be capitalised, on the other hand.

Right now, your scrollbar in your iframe is giving me hell. Your horizontal scrollbar, what the hell is with it. As for your vertical scrollbar – far out. Your iframe is just too tall. It’s very, very annoying.

It’s nice you display your awards, but your Black Pearl award sucks. It’s animated like a dying television.

Visitor Content

I click on ‘Graphics’, only to be taken to another page of links. Do you think I like that? No. Your visitors don’t want to keep seeing pages of links. They want to see your content, and you shouldn’t be wasting time making unnecessary subpages.

On this new subpage, what is the point of the Name/Colour thing down the side? Is that just some sort of crummy decoration? Is that for your visitors? And what’s with the misaligned links?

Boo hoo, I click on ‘Layouts’ and I get another stupid subpage. Your previews to the celebrity layouts look awful. When I click on them the link is dead. Nice one.

Your other layouts do the same thing. Woo – not.

Why the hell would anyone use a blinding eyesore animated background? You offer three which aren’t even of good quality and look horrible.

Web messages are pointless. No one would use these.

Welcome graphics are old. No one likes animated GIFs and welcoming people to a page with these signs? These signs I see on your site? I don’t think so.

You only have six icons – a few are okay, the others are of crap quality. And spell righteous properly before you even think of making an icon with it on it.

A 3D picture cube. I’m so amazed.. not. I look at your example cube for ten seconds and my eyes hurt. Animated graphics are NOT the way to go, and as an additional note, I am extremely pissed off at your animated title bar. Can I review your site without any disruptions? Clearly not. I’m getting a headache, to be completely honest.

So.. if I want to create a link button, I get taken to a blank page? That’s really interesting.

MSN Goodies are just icons like your other ones. I doubt you made these yourself, judging from the quality of your other graphics. And wow, the icons have © Disney printed on them! So they really aren’t yours after all.

You didn’t create any of these generators so I’m not reviewing them.

Your HTML codes are pointless copy-and-paste codes and are all very boring.

You’re redistributing layouts that you didn’t even make yourself; how pathetic. One of them clearly belongs to Kat and Tuly of 99mockingbirds and the other belongs to Riki of Takeabow.org. That’s stealing and against their terms of use.

Why the hell do your little images that you copied off Vejc-design link to empty pages? Can’t you just not link the image at all? It’s confusing.

Only four Piczo tutorials, which appear to be directly copied from Kerry’s World:

You have copied someone’s work directly, word for word. That is plagiarism. You even try to show visitors that your site is copyrighted. I even find it hilarious that you have the same spelling errors.

No miscellaneous tutorials. Planning to steal them from somewhere else, I’m guessing?

Games and Competitions

I can’t read the ugly lime green text on your Site of the week page. Does it matter if someone is your friend on Piczo or not? Who gives a flying crap if they own a cat or not? What kind of application is this? Number of friends? Sheesh.

You offer some sort of site reviewing service? I think that’s ridiculous. You don’t have the skill to write these, sorry. And I can’t believe you give points for enter pages. Useless sign-filled otherwise empty pages. A review riddled with spelling errors? No thanks.

I can’t believe you ask people for their password to “re-look” their site. Do you really think people trust you? Have you heard about actual hackers? Sure, they’re just like you. ‘Your details will be kept confidential’. All that jazz, and someone gets their credit card stolen or something, in the end. It’s no wonder why no one has posted a message.

What kind of game is this ‘catch it’ thing?

Everything else under these games and competitions is atrocious or useless. What kind of award is this for SOTM? You’ve spelt congratulations wrong, it’s horribly animated and you obviously used a generator.

Originality & Creativity

Zilch. You used a copyrighted image, celebrity images, you had stolen content. Nothing was original here. Furthermore I didn’t find anything that stood out or was even creative.

Organisation & Errors

Numerous grammar and spelling errors which I didn’t bother to correct because the content wasn’t yours. Not much sense of organisation.

Mostly a mess. I pointed out some broken links.

A lot of images were just rubbish and linked to random places.

Overall Comment

The site looks okay on the outside, but the inside isn’t too great at all. Your content is boring or useless, and extremely unoriginal. The coded layouts were stolen, as were the tutorials.

Your layout isn’t bad for a Piczo site, but your content is the same.

If you’re looking for suggestions, I suggest you get the hell out of Piczo and go to Freewebs or something. Make a layout that’s actually original and of good image quality. Make your own graphics and tutorials and make things that are better organised, you know?

I didn’t enjoy reviewing your site at all, sorry. You only get half a cookie.
