Site Name

It’s fairly unique and easy to remember. Your URL is really long though!

Coding and Validation

Your coding is valid.

Your CSS has 1 error. font : 95%pt/110% Vrinda; should be font: 95%/110% Vrinda;.

Additionally, values like #FFFFFF can be shortened to #FFF.

Browser Compatibility & Usability

Your site looks the same in most browsers and is navigable and functions in Firefox, Safari, Opera and Internet Explorer.

The navigation is clear and easy to spot. A bit of padding under the navigation will separate it more distinctly from the content.

The colours of the text are a bit inconsistent. You have dark text for your blog but light text in the sidebar. You should keep them a bit more consistent. I think that the whites and lighter blues are more clearly seen than the dark blue you’re using for your blog entries.

Layout

It’s a lovely layout. There is a lot of blue but you’ve pulled it off well by using deep dark shades mixed with very light ones.

I think you could do without the bold black lines beneath the header. They look a bit out of place. The sides of the layout could do with some extra padding as well, so the text is not too close to the edge.

I like the header image and the colours, as well as the textured background to add interest. Overall it’s a lovely layout but could do with a few tweaks in the colouring.

Content

Content

This section would be better named “visitor” – “content” generally refers to all content on your site.

The links on this page, along with their descriptions, would look neater if they were spaced out a bit.

The button bases are simple but okay.

The icons can be improved a bit. Some of the colours look a bit dull. Brighten them up and use more textures and effects.

The icon textures aren’t too impressive but considering they’re textures they look very useful. There’s a variety of textures and even though some are a bit fuzzy, they’re okay.

The pixels aren’t of the best shape but the shading and colours are excellent!

I don’t really like the photo you used for your “Another Beautiful Day” layout. It looks a bit fuzzy and the colours are dull. I think you could have edited the brightness at least.

I don’t like the effects on your “Flying Without Wings” layout. There’s too much text, and the image takes up all of my screen so I have to scroll before I see the content on the page. The CSS for these layouts is fairly good but the images need to be touched up.

The smileys are simple but they’re of very good quality.

Not much to say about the textures. The ones with the flower overlay look nice though. The others are pretty good.

Portfolio

I’m sure Vicky pointed this out already but on your “Be Yourself” article your apostrophes appear as symbols. These just need to be retyped; I assume that you copied this from a document in which “curly” quotes were used (which don’t display on the page). The same error occurs on your Land of Fantasy and Stranded poems.

The photographs aren’t of the best quality or size but they are of very nice places and objects.

Site

On the affiliates page regulary should be regularly.

Your contact page seems a bit inconsistent with your other pages. There are links at the top of the page, which you don’t have on other pages. It’s a bit confusing because you have this page in the owner section too.

Originality & Creativity

You’ve definitely got a lot of original and creative content. You don’t have the greatest skills in graphics but you are excellent at writing and your site was very unique in this way.

Organisation & Errors

Well organised. On some of the pages you could spread out headings from paragraphs and such, but otherwise, there was no huge problem

Overall Comment

You’ve got a wonderful unique site Asmiya. You’ve done a great job making it personal with information about friends/family, as well as your poems.

The layout just needs a few tweaks and a few of your graphics touched up. The premade layouts need a bit of work, and it would be nice to see more pixels and more graphics. I really like your photography but perhaps you could work on the quality of the pictures and share some more pictures of nature.

Keep up the great work.
