It’s really nice and easy to remember, even though I keep remembering ‘one more time’ for some odd reason.

Coding and Validation

I’m so relieved I could eat your site. Your coding is valid XHTML 1.0 Strict and your CSS is valid. WOO.

Browser Compatibility & Usability

The site looks the same in most browsers according to Browsershots.org.

The layout is centered nicely and the text is easy to read. I can easily see the navigation but I’d prefer if it was above the advertisements or as a horizontal style navigation under the header image.

Layout

I love the colours. They’re very bright and happy, and I really like the combination of the orange and purple. It’s a great and unique combination.

This layout conjures up memories of your old site..

The header image is simple, and I really like the image of the bird. I also like the choice of font, and the subtle paint smudge brushes in the background.

The horizontal background makes things look very professional. I like this layout a lot better than your last!

The CSS is very nice and I like the use of the serif fonts for the headers and the non-serif fonts for the main text. The choice of colours for the bold and italic fonts is also very good.

I like how this page is set out with a little profile then a section more in detail.

One error in your profile: Fouteen should be Fourteen.

In your longer more detailed section:

When you say “2000 worth of drugs”, the symbol in front of the 2000 is an invalid character and appears as a question mark.

Onemoreline

This section would be better named as ‘site’ to be more straightforward.

I notice the subnavigation here but it would be better to space the links out a bit more, with a comma, a dash, or whatever you choose.

In the title on this page, “webdesigners” should have an apostrophe – webdesigner’s.

Also, capitalise Piczo and CSS, and ICT.
webdedesigning should be webdesigning.

Affiliates page is great. Well organised.

Credits page is excellent. Don’t forget FanUpdate!

No need for the comma after below on your hosting page. Capitalise FTP, PHP, HTML. You’ve got fair rules too.

Link buttons – good.

Past layouts – good.

You should have the subnavigation on all these subpages too so I don’t have to press ‘back’ all the time.

Visitor

Holy crap (excuse my language)! These colour palettes are so neat! They’re set out in an awesome way.. I am goggle-eyed. Even though I don’t find colour palettes are really of much use. It was very wise to add the hex codes too – don’t think I’ve seen that before!

The emoticons are very cute. They come in all colours of the rainbow and they’re nice and small too. The colours are quite bright, but otherwise they’re good.

The icons look very nice. I particularly think the Harry Potter fan ones are very creative. The miscellaneous ones are very nice too. The ‘well, isn’t that dandy’ one made me laugh.

On your photography page, photo’s doesn’t need an apostrophe.
This page is set out nicely and I like the lightbox javascript you used. Except I think it’s the ‘close’ button – it’s a dead image.
The thing I hate about lightbox JS though, is that it takes a very long time to load. That’s my only problem.
I like the nature photos. Some aren’t of the clearest quality, but it really gives a dreamlike look.

I love the website extras! Though, I hate affiliate buttons, and when people use them I find it horrible that I get linked with the same coloured button as everyone else.
The favicons and back/forward/home/new signs seem a bit rough on the edges, and the balloons look funny and not really ’round’. The bullets look quite plain and easy to make as well.
The Pacman pixels are great, and I like the shading on the smileys and the Pacman monsters.
On this page, your little no-direct-linking rule should go after your ‘website extras’ title’.

On your animal testing article:
release Before should be release – before.

Your ‘text talk’ article wasn’t really an article.. more like some information. I thought you were going to write about the good/bad things about text talking!
So I found it rather pointless since most people know this “talk”.

The story you wrote really engaged me in the beginning but I didn’t really like the ending – seemed a bit rushed and you gave too much away. But you wrote it – so how you like
You don’t need apostrophes in the words pros and cons.

The blogging tips are good. No problems there.

Mmm contests. Spam comments.. people who have these sorts of comments and allow that – make me laugh.

Ooh an icon contest! I might enter when I have time. You don’t need an apostrophe in “photo’s”.

Ditto for the layout contest – no apostrophe needed. And you haven’t replaced the word “icon” with “layout” here.

Capitalise DVD in the photography contest page.

WOAH. WHERE ARE YOUR PACMAN DUDES?! I must do another search. Where are they? What an awesome scavenger hunt though

You need to change the word “icon” to “story” or something similar, in your writing contest. Capitalise URL on this page.

Don’t put “tutorials coming soon”. It gives the visitor the impression your site is unfinished.

Reviews

I’m not going to review this section, but do get it up quickly! Otherwise I suggest taking the link off your sidebar.

I wanted to also mention that under the site, music, book and film reviews pages your sidebar is different.

Originality & Creativity

Very original and creative! You have many creative ideas which I found interesting. I thought your layout was original and I liked how you used legal stock images.

Your photography was very original as well. No complaints here!

Organisation & Errors

The ‘you?’ and ‘apply?’ links on your sidebar lead to a 404.

Other than that, other errors were mentioned above. There were a bunch of grammar/spelling errors and just a few broken images.

I don’t know where your Pacman dudes are, but if you haven’t hidden them, hurry. I want to find them

Your site is very well organised.

Overall Comment

Well Becca, you have an amazing site. Stick with this layout style, I like it a lot.

I don’t have many suggestions but I am looking forward to more content.. and to find those Pacman dudes too.

Just make sure you proofread everything you write. I don’t really have much else to say. You have an amazing unique site that I’m sure will grow over time.
