Site Name

No problem here. Easy to remember and quite unique.

Coding and Validation

Your coding has one error and one warning. You’re missing out on a character encoding, and the following piece of coding for Javascript should have type="text/javascript":

All in all, no huge errors.

Your CSS has 2 errors and 2 warnings. You’re using -moz-selection which is not considered valid by the W3C. Also, Courier New should be quoted in your stylesheet.

Browser Compatibility & Usability

Your site looks the same in most browsers and is navigable and functions in Firefox, Safari, Opera and Internet Explorer.

There’s just a few differences in Opera. Firstly, the custom titles appear as text. This is fine but the titles are quite large, is all. Also, the text that is supposed to be under the image on the owner page actually appears next to the image and looks squashed. The footer looks a bit off as well – view screenshot.

The navigation is easy to spot but I am not really liking the rollovers – they take a while to load. The font size is fine but I think you could increase the line height a bit or just overall increase the text size.

Layout

I have to say, I’m not very keen on the layout. I did review you some time ago, and in my opinion those layouts were much better.

The colours in your current layout are great – a lovely mix of bright warm colours and softer ones to tone it down however, I’m not too keen on the styling, in particular the fonts used. The decorative font you are using for your site name is nice, but I am really not liking the navigation font. It is also a rather decorative and, along with your custom titles, it all looks a bit messy. In my opinion, the navigation would look better as text rather than rollovers. However, the rollovers are amazing, but they take an extremely long time to load, and by the time I want to click on the link to the page, the rollover hasn’t loaded. CSS sprites are a way of speeding up the loading. You could also stick with simple block navigation but placing a background image on hover so you can achieve some sort of rollover look.

You’re using a WordPress plugin for the custom font titles. I think that the line height could be increased a bit because in a lot of situations, the top of the text is close to the text above it but so far from the text below it. In this regard, it’s a bit dodgy.

Content

Owner

A few mistakes:
everyones forgotten should be everyone has forgotten
everytime should be every time
long long should be long, long.

On the music page:
Particuarly should be Particularly
begining should be beginning
gave their lifes should be gave their lives
Infact should be In fact.

Website

From a glance, the website page looks really long. I think you could cut it down or divide it into sections!
that’s besides should be that’s beside
Fayes website should be Faye’s website
buit should be built
added the the should be added to the
world wide web should be World Wide Web
piczo should be Piczo
proffessional should be professional
freewebs should be Freewebs
domain, afterall should be domain – after all
with it’s should be with its
until then, should be until then…

Since the page is rather long and most of the history encompasses your Piczo days, you could cut it down a bit – there’s a lot of detail with the usernames and everything.

Visitor

The backgrounds look great. The bulk of them look bold and bright, so perhaps some lighter and pastel colours could be used.

The brushes look great. Paint splats are really common but often people look for simpler ones with less “splat”. I’m not really liking how the previews are displayed with this odd Lightbox-type thing. I’m not really used to it and the thing appears to be closing on me automatically before I can even see the image.
-The should be The.

Obviously a few of the premade layouts are similar, but I think you could improve them all a bit. The text is a bit squished and I think you could increase the line height.

On the layouts with the stripes at the top, the navigation is too close to the header/quote text and should be a bit further down. These layouts look quite rushed. It would also be nicer if you were able to incorporate some of the striped colours into the CSS for more interest. The sidebar and the layout in general are “weborexic” and would look better spread out and bigger. It feels a bit “claustrophobic”.

Additionally, more text (Lorem Ipsum would do) on the preview itself would give the viewer a better idea of the layout.

The layouts with the striped backgrounds are really quite blinding. The coloured striped background is really blinding on the pink/grey one. Not so much on the others, but I think that for larger elements like backgrounds, the stripes should be on a larger scale and thicker rather than thinner.

On the “Don’t be a Twitch” article – which is very good I must say – everytime should be every time. To improve this article you should go into a little description about a DM (direct message). I really like the idea of this article. Although not everyone would grow some balls to say things to someone.

On the movies/books article:
characters mind should be character’s mind
this, Sometimes should be this, sometimes
Books can should be Reading books can
Lets face should be Let’s face
(well, should be (Well,
film) should be film.)
infront should be in front.
This article is pretty good but I’ve seen a few other similar articles on movies and books.

The PSP tools tutorial is really quite simple. Perhaps a basic preview of what sort of things the tools can do would be more helpful. Otherwise this is a great start to some basic PSP tutorials, I think!

Reviews

On the criteria page:
necerssarily should be necessarily
do not review is should be do not review are
Celebrity Images should be Celebrity images.

On the application page, Piczo should be capitalised. You state your website as onemoreline and not One More Line here though.

Originality & Creativity

Quite original and creative. Nothing copyrighted or overly generic – it’s all very unique.

Organisation & Errors

Well organised. Not many errors or mistakes.

Overall Comment

This time I don’t really see your website as impressive as it was last time. I know you had to start over and re-create and rebuild content, but I think that the content you have now still can be improved, in particular the premade layouts and your current ones.

Your articles are off to a good start. I like how you’re trying out a different style but I think your previous layouts looked a bit “neater”. Keep up the great work.

Thanks so much Georgina! XD
Eeep. I’ve made so many typos D: I know it’s crappy at the moment – everything just feels so rushed on my site now because I can never find time but I hate it being empty so I rushed a load of content to try and make it look alright-ish. |:

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT LIGHTBOX THING THOUGH D:

I didn’t install it D: I just looked because I didn’t know what you was talking about and I didn’t even know it existed. Unless it was that strange looking plugin I wanted to test.. I didn’t think I activated it though..
Eeep! D: I hope it was. Thanks for telling me about that! :P

I have so much work to do but I really feel crappy towards my site right now so I don’t know..

Thanks though, this review (like all of yours) is extremely helpful :)

and don’t worry, I hate the layout as well. It was a quicky cause I wanted to open the site. I just don’t have the time for a new one right now :|

also, I tried adding that doctype thingy because I couldn’t figure out why I was invalid, and it changed it to eight errors.. so I’m really confused now… D:
