Site Name

Because I’m used to it, it’s an easy name to remember but because of the spelling, it’s difficult, because you have spelled it your own way. The use of the letter Z is tacky, even though it is your nickname, but it just makes you seem a bit immature.

Coding and Validation

Your coding is valid.

Your CSS is valid.

There are quite a few warnings in your CSS from specific uses of colours in the same place.

Your coding is very good; it’s neat and orderly and there’s nothing much to improve on; you’re using correct coding.

Browser Compatibility & Usability

Your site looks the same in most browsers, and it is navigable and functions in Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Opera.

The layout is centered, which is well done, ensuring that your website is similar in most screen resolutions as well. The layout is rather wide so keep in mind that your website won’t look very good in smaller resolutions.

The navigation is clear and easy to see, but “Blog” would be clearer written as “Home”. “Snaps” is a bit hard to understand before visiting the page; maybe “Photos” would be more appropriate?

Layout

It’s very simple and I like how you have used a nice range of white and black with greys in between. It’s very organised and well set out.

I like simple layouts and you’ve pulled this one off pretty well, considering you’re using very basic colours.

The CSS looks great; again very neat and clean. You can add a bit of interest with some varying font styles as well. I like the look but I think you can make it interesting in some way.

Content

Contests

Nothing wrong here. You only have one, so I think you could add more for further visitor interaction.

Dymplez

Simple page; nothing wrong here. I think you could write a bit about yourself as well as having Mel Jai write.

Snaps

Masterpeice should be Masterpiece.

This section is set out very well. I like the navigation that allows me to browse through the photos after clicking on one.

Website

Under advertising, the blog plugs aren’t really much cheaper than the sidebar advertising, because you’re charging per blog – and it depends how long you keep the blog up on the website.

Everything else in this section is well done and your credits page is in order.

Originality & Creativity

Your website is mostly just a personal website with a blog and photos, it seems. There’s not much creative content and at the moment the contests and advertising are pretty generic.

Organisation & Errors

Well organised and no errors spotted.

Overall Comment

You’ve got a nice simple website but it just lacks excitement. I like your blog posts as I have personally read them, but for new visitors, your website isn’t that exciting. I don’t know if you plan on adding more visitor content, but if not, you will at least need to include more personal content like photographs or things you have written.

Also, while I like the layout, I think you can improve it and make something more eye-catching. Overall your website just needs a lot more content and something more interesting. Great job on what you have so far though.
