Site Name
No problems here; you know my opinion on it.
Coding and Validation
Your HTML is valid.
Your CSS has 2 errors. I don’t know if you’re aware but the -moz-border-radius properties only work in Mozilla Firefox. As does -moz-border-radius.
Browser Compatibility & Usability
According to Browsershots.org your site looks the same in most browsers.
The navigation is clear and the text is fairly easy to read. No huge problems here. I’m actually viewing your site without images at the moment as my internet is really slow.
Layout
Very pretty. I like the bright colours you’ve used. Everything is very easy on the eyes.
The header image is very nice. Nice to see you have made the image and your layout shorter in width.
I like the font you have used for your site name, and the colours of the flowers the same. It makes everything come together nicely, so nothing stands out unnecessarily. The subtle butterflies are also nice. The use of an image with a showing background is good; makes the layout and site seem less cluttered when the background shows quite a lot.
The CSS matches very nicely with the layout. I like the background in the input and text fields. The layout has a somewhat traditional and soft look. Beautiful job.
Content
About
Just one error – CSS annd graphic should be CSS and graphic.
I think your further links at the bottom could be at the top. It’s not a must, but I think it would be better that way.
On the affiliates page:
an affiliates should be an affiliate
talk to me before, i should be talked to me before; I
i accept should be I accept.
I think you should edit the CSS on your input forms; the larger fields have blue text, and it doesn’t really match with your layout.
On the advertising page, you also have some errors:
24 or 48 should be 24 to 48
All Payments should be All payments.
On the credits page:
thanks you should be thank you
If i missed you in anyway should be If I missed you by any chance.
On the link back page, my my button advertising should be my button for advertising.
Ask Me
You have the following error on this page…
Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter – headers already sent (output started at /home/thestudi/public_html/ask/questions.php:16) in /home/thestudi/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/wordpress-automatic-upgrade.php on line 121
Do look into fixing that!
Challenges
On these pages, June 21st ( First should be June 21st (first.
On the icon challenge page, these Photographsor yours should be these photographs or yours.
Your prizes paragraphs look like this:
First Place: One Month Advertising, One blog shout out, and award. Second Place: 2 Weeks Advertising and award Third Place: Award
It would be more organised like this:
First Place: one month advertising, One blog shout out, and award.
Second Place: 2 Weeks advertising and award.
Third Place: Award
Resources
I’ve already made comments on the actions and scripts in your previous review. Good to see you have removed the links on the icon textures too.
I don’t think I mentioned this before but it would be more original if you didn’t offer the fonts. I did mention it was nice to link back to the original site but I think at some point you’ll have to remove these (they get boring and generic).
I mentioned this with the brushes; try and have an imagepack as well.
I notice you have some new resources. The PHP date settings are great – I have seen them on php.net, but not on a website. Good reference for people who are looking.
You should edit your special characters page; the tables are a bit messed up.
The free layouts are lovely. I don’t really have anything to complain about with them.
Tutorials
On the Fantastico tutorial, Anymore should be Any more. Capitalise WordPress and Coppermine.
On the blockquote tutorial, you layout should be your layout.
Capitalise I in your MySQL database tutorial.
On these tutorials, you shouldn’t use <xmp> as it is deprecated (no longer considered correct, and is therefore invalid). You should use <code>. And in using code you must replace < with < and > with >.
You have a lot of nifty tutorials for little things here and there. They are quite interesting even if they’re just for little tips and tricks. It is a shame that the rounded corner one only works in Firefox.
On the selective coloring tutorial, necessary need should be necessarily need.
On the link button tutorial:
i’ll should be I’ll
sixe should be size
its not a pixel font, i should be it’s not a pixel font, I
i’m should be I’m
i should be I.
Please make sure you proofread your work or run it through a spell checker! You barely capitalise your Is.
On the brush sets page, you CTRL should be your CTRL.
On the custom 404 page tutorial:
go to website should be go to a website
the link should be a link
you FTP should be your FTP
url in you should be URL in your.
Capitalise URL in your auto redirect tutorial.
The following isn’t valid anymore because you don’t seem to have the tutorials anymore:
For more information, you can check my tutorial on PHP Includes, Making PHP Files, Uploading with Filezilla.
On the WordPress Akismet tutorial, you should capitalise WordPress.
To download it, click here to download it. should be To download it, click here.
your done!. should be you’re done!
On the number of posts tutorial, i’ll should be I’ll.
You should quote the functions, such as “save”, “activate” and “upload”, or place them in bold, so the reader will know that is a function you are clicking.
Originality & Creativity
You have original and creative graphics. A lot of your tutorials are pretty nifty and unique but others are pretty generic.
Overall you have an original style and definitely a creative site.
Organisation & Errors
No problems with organisation or broken links or images.
On a few pages you do need to check your spelling and check for typing errors. It looks like you have rushed through your site because of all the errors.
Overall Comment
You have made some nice improvements since last time, Isi. I don’t have anything to complain about.
I didn’t see your portfolio on your site so that was a bit of a shame; I personally enjoyed looking through it.
It’s good to see you have added content and made some improvements to the pages you already have.
Just fix those errors on your site and make sure you check for errors!
