Site Name

It’s easy to remember, but it’s also a little strange and sounds childish.

Coding and Validation

Your coding has 43 errors. Things look okay with your coding from a glance, but there are things you need to fix.

Firstly, while you have good structure, you need a doctype, which is a bit of code that will allow the browser to identify your coding as an HTML document. HTML 4.01 Transitional is the best doctype for your site.

This is what you must place at the beginning of every document, before the <html> tag:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"

What you also need is a character encoding, which tells us what ‘language’ you’re using. You need the following code in your head tags:

<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

Instead of typing &, type &amp; to get the desired ampersand; this’ll reduce errors.

In several places you have trailing backslashes before the ends of your tags:

...alt="Free Domains Hosting at .co.nr" />

Those should be removed; it’s a rule that only applies in XHTML, not HTML.

The majority of your other errors are caused by the videos and scripts you’ve used. This is fairly common, and can’t be helped that the video code causes invalid coding.

Your CSS has 1 error and 14 warnings. You can fix that error – you’ve written #00000 and I’m sure you mean #000000 – six zeroes, for the colour black.

You use the font Trebuchet MS. When you have fonts with spaces – so they are more than one word long – you should quote them like: “trebuchet ms” to be more correct and prevent warnings.

Your CSS is very orderly but it’s best to try an external stylesheet.

Browser Compatibility & Usability

The site looks the same in most browsers according to Browsershots.org.

The layout is centered. The font size could be increased just a little bit though. It’s a bit too small amongst the rather large headers.

Layout

You haven’t credited Divergente for your layout. You lack a credits page.

This is the exact layout offered at Divergente, and it was part of the terms of use to keep the credits intact.

You haven’t, and if I don’t see the credit where it belongs, I’ll have to tell Mimi that you’re using her content without following the terms of use.

Hence, I won’t be reviewing the layout since it isn’t yours; and you should make your own and actually properly credit people when using their resources. Otherwise, you’re stealing.

Content

Well, first off, your sidebar. I notice that you aren’t even putting spaces after your full stops/periods. You should, and the way you write isn’t very professional.

For instance:

Hi welcome to [TweenzNewz]- an [Entertainment Mania] website. ;;Hello Teens!Welcome to your #1 celebrity resource site! Were you can look through and read about things that most teens like to read about!!

Not a very good welcome message. Why do you need to have square brackets around some of your text? And why does ‘Entertainment Mania’ need to be capitalised?

Were should be Where. And there’s no need for those two dodgy semicolons.

Past Top Newz

Is it necessary to spell with a “z”?

Read this aloud for me:

Noone yet knows how Rihanna got this, but it is for sure that Chris Brown did this,Chris Brown is now being Sued for Murder??!!??Chris Brown is said to be going through Anger Management classes??But,Noone knows yet what had happened.Yet.Wait to get more info about Rihanna and Chris’s relationship,or will Rihanna move on??Wait and see!But look at what Chris has done,He lost his girlfriend, music career, fans, pretty much everything!Let’s see what he will do soon…

Do you care to put spaces after your commas? Why do you have to capitalise “Sued for Murder”? Hilarious. This isn’t even murder. I think murder is when someone is killed unlawfully, no? I don’t think Rihanna is dead.

Weekly video choice

Again, I think you should write neatly and not in chatspeak on your website. It looks very unprofessional.

Movies Coming Out in 2009

You’ve pretty much copied this from TheMovieInsider.com, so there are really no comments to make.

Weekly Challenges

You need to learn how to type properly. It’s very hard to read when you don’t put spaces at the ends of your sentences.

This challenge idea is not very good. I could just post a comment saying I did the challenge and just find some video on YouTube of someone doing it.

Er.. I don’t think pennies can defy gravity either. And I could easy try to look at the floor. You need to think of more reasonable challenges.

Funny Stories

Hmm..

All you have to do is email us with the subject called “FUNNY STORY SUBMIT”. The storie must be atleast 2 paragraphs long. You can also add some other things but those are the requirments.

Correct spellings should be ‘story’, ‘at least’, and ‘requirements’. You seem so careless in your site and it isn’t a good impression.

And.. this page doesn’t really have anything on it.

Ask Billy

This looks more like an advice service, which is something I’ve seen rarely. If you wrote more professionally it would look better.

You should have a form or guestbook here. In essence it isn’t really anonymous. If people have to go to all the bother to email you, you’d pretty much know their email and name perhaps. Not very anonymous to me.

Celebrity of the week

You’ve pretty much taken everything from other sites except for your dodgy introductory paragraph.

To be honest, your site is already boring me out. You’re providing some sort of celebrity gossip, but it’s really not doing it for me because 1 that kind of crap doesn’t interest me and 2 it’s mostly content that isn’t yours and is just copied from websites off the internet.

Karolina’s Blog

It’s an external link and won’t be reviewed.

Originality & Creativity

I didn’t see any originality. Almost all the content was on celebrities; not even made by you or written by you.

Nothing creative. The idea is original, of having weekly/daily news on celebrities, but resources would be far from original and you’ve got a far way to go for getting your site ‘out there’.

You didn’t even make your own layout or credit the creator, which is just appalling. That said, you even lacked a credits page.

Organisation & Errors

The navigation was organised, but the content on the pages looked like it was just thrown together. There were errors everywhere with spelling, grammar and punctuation.

All pages need to be looked at and proofread and re-done.

Overall Comment

You need to start by actually crediting Mimi at Divergente.org for the layout. You didn’t make it yourself.

Make your own layout. Learn some coding.

If your main focus of your site is going to be the same, or whatever your focus is for that matter, get your head in and write properly. Don’t write like a little kid.

Add more interesting things and information about your website. Having a focus like this isn’t going to get you anywhere when people can just read up on the entertainment news or watch on television.

Your whole site needs more thought and planning.
