Site Name
It’s short and very easy to remember. It sounds a bit sad, though, in my opinion.
Coding and Validation
Your coding is valid. Great job.
Your CSS has 8 errors and 52 warnings. Properties such as -moz-border-radius-topleft and variations of moz code are not valid or recognised by the W3C as they’re designed only for certain browsers such as Firefox. Therefore the rounded corner look you’re achieving isn’t evident in other browsers. It might be a better idea to use images instead (though that can be a problem for people with images turned off).
The warnings can be fixed by cleaning up your coding – sometimes the same colour in certain contexts isn’t allowed.
I can’t spot any other flaws in your coding; it’s so clean and overall very well done.
Browser Compatibility & Usability
Your site looks the same in most browsers, and it is navigable and functions in Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Opera.
The only difference is that in Firefox, the rounded corners can be seen on the sidebar links.
The navigation is clear and the text is of a good size. The layout also has a neat, easily navigable interface which is good.
The layout is quite wide so keep in mind that your website will not look the best in a smaller screen resolution or on devices with smaller screens.
Layout
I have seen a lot of layouts in memory of Michael Jackson, but even so, I like how you have your own personal touch to yours. I especially love the silhouettes and the black bold shapes and text on the cloudy background. The text has really subtle effects and I like the more faded text in the background as well.
The CSS is done very well. You’ve really pulled off a lot of blue in a variety of contrasting and complementing shades. Black was a very good choice to break up the blue, as well as the white in the content area.
The background would look nicer set on attachment: fixed. I can see it move slightly as I scroll down and it isn’t a nice effect on the eyes because of the fine lines.

On the past designs page, the third layout links to a thumbnail and not a full view.
Articles
On the advance in webdesign article:
pretty son should be pretty soon
elses should be else’s
compliment should be compliment.
I must compliment you on the grammar article. I have wanted to write my own but seeing yours, I’m impressed. Grammar has surely gone down the drain especially in the online world. I like how you have included examples of common mistakes.
Ok should be Okay.
On the copyright article, there’s a lot should be there are a lot. Also, in tact should be intact.
On the “Don’t Test Me” article, There’s hundreds should be There are hundreds.
On the tutorials article, you have a big paragraph that needs to be broken up. Nevertheless I like this article as it really shows people what a good tutorial is. There are too many simple tutorials out there.
On the WordPress vs Cutenews article, WordPress Dashboard more efficient should be WordPress Dashboard is more efficient. This article was also good; I really like when people are able to compare two browsers, forms of CMS, or anything web-related, with some good points.
I find that you have covered many points in the “Cutenews” article as well. While I found it quite repetitive, I realised that some people might just be looking for what the fuss about Cutenews’s insecurity is, and not necessarily a comparison with WordPress.
On the “I’m Squinting Here” article, some screenshots or examples of the awful text would be a good idea.
On the valid coding article, the snippets of code are not fitting into the boxes properly. You might want to go a bit more into detail about why valid coding is important. Most of the article is about people claiming their coding is valid when it isn’t.
I love the article on Swine Flu; it’s up to date, it’s recent, and it gives people a good impression. Also mention the name “H1N1 virus” somewhere in the introduction.
On the “6 is the new 10?” article, as a women should be as a woman.
On the auditions article Ok should be Okay. I love these sorts of articles because I know you have experience in this area. It’s nice to read articles when people really know what they’re talking about.
Ok should be Okay on the hypocrisy article (and a few others!).
Ask
None waiting an answer; that’s good! You receive some interesting questions!
Resources
Very organised, just like the articles page.
I most likely mentioned this in a previous review but it’s very considerate that you have the brushes in many formats, and you have a variety of brushes too!
The layouts are beautiful. I love the more recent ones you have added as well, especially the Summertime one.
It’s not necessary but some names would be nice for the scripts to differentiate them a bit, and show some creativity. Perhaps some instructions for use would be useful?
I’m not sure but the green round smilies look similar to the default WordPress ones.
Some of the backgrounds are a bit too bright and bold for me but they’re of good quality.
You have a great range of bullets and they all look great.
Lately I have taken a liking to wallpapers; you actually have some available in my screen resolution. Great job.
I think I remember mentioning how unique the letter favicons were.
I’m not sure if you take requests for the glitter names but that would be nice. Personally I am not one for glitter names though.
The textures all look excellent. Despite the images not being resized for the thumbnails, the page loads quite fast.
Tutorials
You have such a large variety of tutorials on almost anything and everything. I particularly like how you offer one-on-one help, and how you have placed a lot of introductions and very basic steps in your tutorials.
Your tutorials are amazing. Not only do you have quantity, but you have great quality tutorials as well.
Originality & Creativity
You have very original content, and all the content on your website is creative. Your articles are very original and I like how you keep them regularly updated. You have very original and creative content.
Organisation & Errors
Very well organised.
Your grammar and spelling were practically flawless.
Overall Comment
You have an amazing website, Kerry. You should definitely be very proud of it. You have a lot of content that is very useful and could keep them occupied for a while. Your tutorials are extremely helpful and your articles well written, and of a wide range of subjects. You write very well, and the only suggestion I have would be to support your articles with some pictures here and there.
Your website continues improving and I’ve noticed this over the reviews I have written for your website. Keep up the awesome work.
