It’s easy to remember; no problems. Very cute and unique too.

Coding and Validation

Your coding has 19 errors and 1 warning.

You’re forgetting to place a </p> after the advertising paragraph in the sidebar, to end <p align="center">.

You’re placing <h6> in your blog and forgetting to end the paragraph with </p>.

Also when using < and > in your coding, replace with < and >.

These errors are fairly minor. The rest of your coding looks neat and orderly. I see that you are using a premade theme so in future try and make your own.

Your CSS has 4 errors.

The first error is that text-decoration cannot be “bold”. If you want to make text bold it must be as font-weight: bold.

Another error – border-color:1px solid #3ecfff; is incorrect and should be border:1px solid #3ecfff;.

You also have an error as a result of this: font: normal 0.9em "Trebuchet MS”; line-height: 14px; text-align: left;. Trebuchet MS must be quoted, so remove &#8221; and replace with a quotation mark.

Browser Compatibility & Usability

Looking at your site at Browsershots.org, your layout is looking consistent in most browsers.

The layout is centered and of a good width. There will be no problems for people viewing your website in smaller resolutions.

The text size is readable and the navigation is clear.

Layout

The layout colours are okay on the eyes. The blue for the links is a bit too bright. The layout does stand out and looks neat and organised, but it could be toned down in brightness.

The stripy background is a nice addition but it doesn’t match very well with the colours of the header and stylesheet. A light grey or blue rough textured background would fit better with the header, even one that matches with the cloudy texture of the header image.

The pink in the stylesheet should be edited to match the blue in the layout.

Content

Domain

This section would be better named as “website”.

On the main page, NO WHERE should be NOWHERE. “Terms of use rules” should just be “terms of use”.

On the about page:

twitter should be Twitter.

On the affiliates page, must of should be must have and therefor should be therefore.

Visitor

The backgrounds are simple but nice. I like how different shades of the same colour are used; that makes them look a lot more interesting.

The button bases are quite boring. This sort of content is pointless; people can make their own buttons. The food ones aren’t of good quality either.

The pixels aren’t of the best quality. These just look like really simple bullets. There is no shading on them and the arrows are very simple.

The photography isn’t too impressive. The first image is quite nice, but the others are blurry or too bright. These can be improved.

The textures don’t look very interesting. I can’t imagine anyone using these. They need to be more interesting and have more colour added to them.

The Twitter signs are really simple. Some decorations could be used to make them a bit more interesting; some varying effects too. Good to see the use of <code> for displaying code too.

The swirly brushes aren’t bad. I have seen many swirly brushes though, so try and make them a bit more interesting, or create other brushes in the pack that can be used together with the swirls.

The smilies are quite unique – I have seen watermelon smilies once, but yours don’t look as good. You need more shading on them.

Tutorials

The tutorials are set out nicely and you explain everything really well.

The eye colour tutorial is very good; the result is high quality and looks very realistic.

There isn’t much on your website, and not everything is original or creative. Most of the content, though well made, and the tutorials, very well written, are quite generic. More original tutorials and content would make your website stand out.

Overall Comment

Your website was fairly well done, Krystal. It’s a bit rough on the edges, and your graphics, in particular small things like pixels and smilies, and creations like textures, could be improved. You have an impressive layout and some great tutorials but your graphics, seeing as you also don’t have many, don’t show much creativity.

You have done a good job on the site overall, but you need to add more content and work on creating a layout that’s a bit more individual and a bit more unique. Using a template is fine, but you should use it to assist you to edit it until it has a more original style.

Work on those graphics, add photography that’s a bit better in quality, and do add more tutorials. You have potential, so good luck.
