Your CSS has is valid.

Terrific job; I don’t see much you can improve on either.

Browser Compatibility & Usability

Your site looks the same in most browsers, and it is navigable and functions in Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Opera.

The font size is okay. Everything is easy to read and the website is easy to navigate.

Layout

It’s very creative and I like the overall look. The colours also stand out a lot. Firstly, I like the use of the torn paper, and how you’ve only used it to highlight certain parts of the layout. In this sense it keeps things looking clean and not too cluttered.

I also like that you have kept the text relatively simple so as not to ruin the layout with too many decorative fonts.

The navigation is pretty clear, but the edges are what annoy me here. You’ve used little rectangles for the navigation but these rectangles have uneven edges. The right edge and bottom edge look straight, unlike the other two torn edges. It looks uneven and unnatural, and actually makes it seem like you haven’t cropped the image well.

I have no problems with the colours as everything is generally easy to read, but on the darker coloured sections of the layout, it is hard to notice the regular links at all. They’re a pale blue colour and barely noticeable. They would be better off black, and bolded, to show that they are links.

The width of the layout is good; I had the impression that it was big at first! However, there is a rather large gap between the sidebar and content so consider making it smaller, by increasing the width of the content or sidebar.

Domain

This section would be better named as “website” or “site” because not everyone is familiar with the term “domain”.

You have subnavigation at the top of this page, but you don’t have it at the top of all the pages in this section. Your website would be a lot easier to navigate if you placed these subnavigation links on all pages in the section.

There are some mistakes on the main page:

The premade layout is nice! I have to be honest though; this looks better than your current layout.

The smiley should really go after the sentence and period.

The poetry pages need titles!

The tutorial needs to be spaced out. Use line breaks to put the images on new lines.

The photos aren’t the best but they’re a nice addition to a portfolio. The ones with a ball look great!

Nothing much to say here, but please put titles on your pages and proofread your work.

Originality & Creativity

Your website seems very personal-based to me, so it seems well oriented around you. The most stunning of your content are the scribbles and textures. You generally have original content and do use original images.

Organisation & Errors

Since you have added a lot of content, these pages have become disorganised in the midst of adding them, it seems. When you add content make sure the pages are ready to go up and are nice and neat. A lot of your pages are a mess and need proofreading. Use a spellchecker, please.

Pages are in the right sections but they need to be looked at individually and cleaned up. They look very messy.

Overall Comment

Mandi, you’ve improved quite a lot since your last review. Your layout is much better and very creative, but I feel that you still have the potential to do better. I have seen a few of your other layouts such as the one with the penguin – that one was excellent, if not better than your current layout.

You’ve got relatively good resources and content on your website, but you have a lot of spelling and grammatical mistakes. It makes your website look disorganised and as if you have rushed through it.

Overall my suggestions would be to please proofread your work, and to organise your pages and make sure they’re all neat.
