Site Name
Definitely one of a kind. I has a really nice feel to it, I can’t think of much to say but it’s really pretty! I see from your site information that it’s a little pessimistic at the same time; which is really extraordinary in my opinion. It’s also nice that it means a lot to you.
Layout
Your header image is really nice. It’s a wonderful scene, and you’ve used a great font on it. The use of just two lines of lyric really break up the contrast of colours in the layout – it’s terrific.
Sidebar was good, very organised and not too cluttered. I noticed with your banners down the side, one rotates. Maybe you could put some text above this to say a ‘random’ link. This rotation also comes up in a white box in Internet Explorer – a box that’s too big for the button, so maybe adjust that size. There’s not much of a gap between the buttons and ads, they’re a little squished up, and maybe make all of them the same size (SF awards is smaller, you could use an 88 by 31 button instead). Otherwise there were no problems, Twitter took me a little longer to load but there may have just been some lag in my internet.
CSS matches the layout well, but the navigation links shift a little on hover, which could be adjusted. The blue background for all your content was well picked.
Overall your layout was well done, and I liked how it was centered.
Content
MICHELLE:
I liked your introduction to this section. Humorous, and engaging. The length of your information is just right. I love your ’101 things to do in 1001 days’. It’s a great idea, and inspired me to try it myself! Your ‘Just the basics (and more)’ page was also humorous, well set out too. Your timeline was an interesting read. I loved all your stuff here, it was very informative, and you write in an engaging way!
CONTENT:
On first impressions, there’s a lot, there’s variety and it’s very organised. Your little key at the top using the symbols is good, as it lets people know what content is yours and what isn’t. There is a significant number that you’ve written yourself – most of the ‘Top 10′s. They’re great, and some, again, are quite funny!
Your DIY articles are good, they are handy! A suggestion would be to add some photographs (for eye candy).
Your articles about university life are excellent, because they’re directly from the point of view from you, a university student. I read through them and I find them very helpful, having to start uni next year. =)
Icons – good stuff. Well cropped and selected, and it’s great that you’ve credited your resources.
Your reviews are good, because they give visitors your opinion on certain books, films and even albums! I notice that you have a few recent ones, I think it’s a good idea to keep this section updated regularly with some new release books and films too.
NETWORK:
Your ‘A Letter To A Stranger’ blog was – just, wow. I was so hooked on reading! I think that it was a very, very unique idea. And it was entertaining in a way. And that this whole blog is dedicated to it is wonderful – I just love the idea, and how you’ve written a letter in each post.
Your fanlistings section is well organised. There are so many, and it’s great that you own some of your own. The only error was that ‘wish’ led to what seemed to be your imaginarysunshine.com homepage; and I don’t know if this was intended.
Ames is a nice, also organised section with a lovely layout. I’m not too familiar with RPGs so wasn’t sure how it all worked, so I can’t comment much more.
Your review site has a lovely layout and, once again, very organised. I suggest you put a link to the website on your sidebar to get some applications rolling in – not sure if it’ll work – or submit the site to some listings; just a suggestion.
IS.COM:
Great screenshots! I like how you’ve included the exact dates of when the layouts were present. Your brief descriptions are also good, and you’ve included the resources for your past layouts too, which is excellent.
EXITS:
Well organised, not a problem.
DISCLOSURE:
Important information here; good job for adding it as a main page. It makes it look very important.
Originality
I love all your content and the way you’ve set things out on your visitor page. It’s very organised. All your articles are excellent and I love the way you write, because it’s humorous and engaging, as I’ve mentioned above. Your whole site was organised very well.
