I love my (immediate) family because they care about me & are always there for me (even my younger brother). They let me complain to them and allow me be myself.

The “I Love” Project

Every year since 2010 I celebrate my domain's birthday on the 11th October with some kind of project. In 2010, it was the 'Love is...' Project and you submitted your definitions of love. In 2011, you shared what it is that you love.

On the 9th October 2011, this design was released with a rotation above the sidebar with chosen submissions. Read more...

Photoshop: Installing Brushes

This is a rather basic tutorial but some people are unfamiliar with working with brushes in Photoshop so I decided to write this tutorial. This tutorial was written for Photoshop CS2 but the instructions should be similar in most versions.

For this tutorial, you will need:

  • a set of brushes in .abr format (you can download one of mine)
  • a folder to save your brushes (where you will remember)
  • Photoshop (I use CS2 so this should work in that version and newer)

Open Photoshop. Click on “brushes” in the top right corner of the interface:

Then click on the arrow after “Brushes” and you should see something like this:

You can also access “Load brushes” via your collection of brushes:

A dialog box will open. Simply locate where you saved your .abr file, select it by clicking on it once, and press “Load”.

Your brushes will now be able to be previewed with your other brushes and are ready for use.
