Hopes.
As the sun sets,
I hope that it might stay in that place.
A small star,
compared to the universe in its entirety.

When one is accustomed to the same happenings
day after day,
Perhaps we take those happenings
for granted.

Seeing mum;
kissing your sweetheart goodbye;
having transport to work;
having food to eat;
having beautiful sights;

having a home.

Having the sun.

Having the sun rise,
day after day.
