Heartbeats
Food
for thought and
a mirror for vanity.
Shoes with height and
long flowing dresses.
curbed silver chains
and red – poisonous – ink.
Breaths from the lips,
eyes of glossy deep chocolate brown,
And music to the ears; lights scattering
reflections of golden and silver ornaments -
A room full of people,
a seat in the corner…
