perceiving things each day pulls in ideal thoughts
of you and I,
even the smallest goodbye lets my heart ache.
watching you from a distance
has never been for my smiles,
but for yours.
to cure the daily aches I run back to home;
a home I have never quite understood.
for those empty feelings expand,
grasping me a little further than I can myself reach,
but I reach for something beyond the stars.
there’s only one star in your sky;
there’s only one home for me.
I gather my scattered fleeting thoughts and trade them
for happiness,
for uncertainty,
for nostalgia,
for you.
